10th Annual Townsquare Media Job Fair This Wednesday

SWLA is growing so rapidly, there's work at every turn. Area companies, businesses, casinos, and refineries are looking for employees at just about every experience level. Even though jobs are plentiful, finding employment in a specific field with your desired rate of pay can be challenging. Townsquare Media Lake Charles is keeping up with the ever-changing job market in SWLA with our annual job fairs. We're connecting job seekers with hiring organizations, and doing our part to help the community thrive.

Speaking of which, our next fair is right around the corner! Save the date, and make plans to attend the 10th Annual Townsquare Media Job Fair, slated for Wednesday, April 4, 2018. As always, the fair will take place on the second floor in the Mezzanine area of the Lake Charles Civic Center (900 Lakeshore Dr.), from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.

We have one of the largest job fairs in SWLA, mainly because we spread the word on all six of our radio stations: 107 Jamz, Gator 99.5, 92.9 The Lake, Classic Rock 92.1, as well as the all-new Magic 1470, and Cajun 1290. Remember to update or create a fresh resume, make several copies, and maybe even bring a few business cards, if you have some. We always have a huge turnout, so arrive early to avoid standing in line. Potential employers will be in the house from every facet of employment like the: Medical Field, Technology Sector, Food & Beverage, Education, Financial Services, Casino & Hotel Hospitality, Refinery & Engineering jobs, Sales, and more!

Bottom line: bring your A Game, and be dressed in your best business attire. You have one opportunity to make a first impression. Avoid jeans, ball caps, doo-rags, slippers/flip flops, leave the kids at home, and arrive at the job fair the same way you'd go to work.

You may be interviewed on the spot, so be prepared! Townsquare Media Lake Charles has had great success hosting 10 years of job fairs in our hometown.
