The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office needs the publics help in searching for the driver of a pick-up truck who struck a man on the road riding an electric skateboard in Sulphur on Wednesday, June 6, at about 10 p.m. on W. Dave Dugas Rd., near Frey Rd, in Sulphur. The driver fled the scene.

Investigators received witness statements and evidence from the scene of the hit-and-run that lead them to determine the man was hit by the driver of a white Dodge pick-up truck. The victim was reportedly taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and released.

The truck is said to have visible damage. "It is missing the driver's side mirror and may have damage to the front left quarter panel and windshield area," said a media release.
