Labor Day Holiday Garbage & Trash Collection 2018

According to a City of Lake Charles media release, trash and garbage in Lake Charles won't be collected on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 3, in observance of the annual holiday.

Monday’s trash and garbage will be picked up on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018. Trash and garbage normally scheduled for pick up on Tuesday will be picked up on Wednesday, Sept. 5. Routes for Thursday and Friday will remain the same as regularly scheduled.

All recycling locations will also close on Monday, September 3, including Team Green recycling truck, and the Incinerator. Regular hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 4, for all services of the Department of Public Works, as well as other city departments.
