Mark Ronson Celebrates MJ's 60th Birthday With New Single

Today in Tha Wire it's hard to believe Michael Jackson has been dead for 9-yrs. Even though he's gone, his musical legacy continues to inspire, and earn new fans. Today had he still been with us, would've been his 60th birthday. In honor of the late King of Pop, his estate, Sony Records, in conjunction with Grammy-winning producer/artist/DJ Mark Ronson released, "Michael Jackson x Mark Ronson: Diamonds are Invincible."

No, it's not an album. It's a funky remix comprised of some of MJ's biggest hits...on one track! Take a listen below:

Whatcha think? It's fire! Michael Jackson was a global star, that continues to transcend cultural boundaries. Mark Ronson is a music legend in his own right, but told AllHipHop putting the tribute track together was anything but easy. He said,

“It was such an amazing, awe-inspiring and insanely intimidating task to put this together, although you’d need hours and hours to fit all of Michael’s classic tunes into one track," Ronson continued. "I wanted this to feel like being on the dancefloor at a sweaty, wild NYC club getting down to as much MJ as possible in five minutes. And I can’t wait for you to all hear the extended version coming soon.”

In addition, fashion icon Giuseppe Zanotti announced he was launching the “Giuseppe Tribute to Michael Jackson" sneaker collection. The limited edition shoes will be numbered in sequence, feature Swarovski crystals on the fasteners, with Michael’s name engraved on the buckle. Clearly Michael Jackson's music has had a huge impact on the world. Tonight there'll be several celebrations in his honor across the nation. The Estate of Michael Jackson gave a press release of events being held in his honer. One of which with go down in Las Vegas. His kids, famous siblings and celebrity fans will host a huge birthday bash after a performance of the Michael Jackson ONE show by Cirque du Soleil.
