Saturday, December 1, 2018, is National HIV/AIDS Day. The public is invited to join Queen of The South #14/Louisiana Prince Hall and the Southwest Louisiana AIDS Council(SLAC,) as they team-up to mark the occasion with their annual awareness program! It all takes place at SLAC, located at 425 Kingsley Street in Lake Charles, from 2 pm to 4 pm. This is also an opportunity to learn more about the disease, the great medical strides made to treat it, what prevention steps are best and much more. HIV/AIDS is not a death sentence. Living with the virus and enjoying the quality of life is achievable when receiving the proper treatment. That is what this awareness program is all about.

As they say, "Knowledge is key." Getting tested, and knowing your status is important. So come and discover what you didn't know about HIV/AIDS and the local resources available to the surrounding public. There will be guest speakers, testimonials, and refreshments to enjoy as well.
