Threats at two separate Calcasieu Parish Public Schools were reported last week, resulting in the arrest of two students.

According to a media release, detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office investigated a threat on Thursday, September 20, where a threat was issued from a student at LaGrange High School. It was learned a 15-year-old student was kicked out of class for a disturbance and then made threats of killing everyone at the school. "He was arrested and booked into arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and is charged with terrorizing."

On the same day, detectives investigated another possible threat to LaGrange but determined it was connected to the previous incident with the student arrested.

Detectives then received another call on Friday, September 21, of a threat issued by a student at Washington Marion High School. The 16-year-old student reportedly made a social media post threatening a bombing and/or a shooting at Washington Marion High School and Molo Middle School. The student was located at home and arrested and also "booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with 2 counts of communicating false information of a planned bombing on school property."
