1st Annual Pizza Fest Goes Down This Saturday In Lake Charles
You gotta love Louisiana! We will find anything to build a festival around. Recently added to our VERY LONG list, is the Pizza Festival. Hey, why not? I love pizza! Don't you? It's the perfect everything food. KPLC 7 reports the Lake Area is going to be home to the first festival of it's kind in the state. Make plans to attend the 1st Annual Pizza Fest, this Saturday (April 21) from 4pm-10pm, in the parking lot behind Sloppy's Downtown.
The festival will feature pizza form - Sloppy's, CiCi's, On the Rocks, Mellow Mushroom, and more. There'll be a "Best Pizza in Lake Charles" contest where each vendor will compete for the bragging rights. Celebrity judges from the Lake Charles area will have the tough job of choosing the winner.
Admission is free for everyone! Buy a single slice ticket, or wristband for 5 slices from your favorite vendor. In addition, students from the McNeese Art Department, will display, and sell pizza inspired art. Inside more artworks from various local artists will be on display in full art exhibit. Fest goers can also enjoy live bands the entire day!
