5th Avenue Shooting Leads to One Death and Multiple Injuries

Has everyone lost their minds? Why are we killing ourselves? Why does every issue we have with one another have to be resolved with a gun?

There have been several shootings and killings in Lake Charles since January 2021. The murder rate in this city is high. Why? We have become numb to violence and it's sad. If we aren't stabbing each other in a Walmart, we are committing genocide in the streets and it's all over bull**it! Once again, the Lake Charles Police Department is investigating a shooting, and this time it took place last night on 5th Avenue.

According Capt. Kevin Kirkum, multiple people were injured and one person has died from the violence. The shooting is currently under an active investigation and no arrests were made that we know of. The motive remains unclear as does the identity of the shooter or shooters.

Tune into the local news this evening for an update on this unfortunate event. In the meantime, we offer our deepest, most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the victim who was killed. On the same note, we offer our prayers for a speedy recovery for all of the injured.

For a sidebar note, murder is the gravest sin of all. God said, it is forbidden to murder, "Thou shalt not kill." Exodus 20:13, Deuteronomy 5:17. These killings, be they sparked by hatred, bigotry, racism, or self-genocide must stop. Now!
