Cameron Parish residents will be happy to hear this news. The Cameron Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles is reopening today, April 8, but at a new location and only for one day each week.

Parish residents have been without their Office of Motor Vehicles offices since the pandemic hit us in March of 2020. Both locations have been closed ever since, but the light at the end of the tunnel is here. The new location is located at 148 Smith Circle, Suite 151 in Cameron.

The office will be open every Thursday from 8:00am to 4:00pm and closed for lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. There's more good news, as the office does not require appointments. Customers can view a complete list of services provided at the Cameron field office by clicking on the Open Offices icon at www.expresslane.org.

Some of the services provided include vehicle registration renewal, duplicate registration requests, official driving record requests, driver’s license and ID card renewals, duplicate driver’s license and ID requests, and a Real ID checklist.

Even though the office is back open, they still encourage customers to utilize Office of Motor Vehicles online services when possible, as demand at the location could be great and wait times could be long.

Remember, the office will only be open on Thursdays, so if you are planning to visit in person, make plans to only go on a Thursday so you don't make a wasted trip.
