After a huge backlash on the internet, Apple TV+ has announced a partnership with a broadcast TV network to also air the Charlie Brown holiday specials.

To say that Peanuts fans, and people with a pulse in general, were upset about Apple TV+ having the exclusive rights to play A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and Christmas only on their platform would be a tremendous understatement. When I heard the news, I knew my wife was going to be quite upset, and when I told her, she had a few choice words to say.  She was so upset, she stopped what she was doing and pulled up YouTube to see if the specials were still on there so she and the kids could watch them this year.

Fast forward a few months from that soul crushing news, and about a million tweets and posts later, Apple realized the severity of their folly.  Yesterday, the news came out the two specials will still stream commercial free on Apple TV+ but that they've partnered with PBS to also play them.  A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving will air on PBS and PBS Kids on November 22 at 6:30pm and A Charlie Brown Christmas will play on PBS and PBS Kids on December 13 at 6:30pm.

It was so cute to see my wife after I shared the news with her yesterday. She was giddy like a little kid. She loves holiday movies, and it's awesome she and so many others have the opportunity to watch the Peanut specials on TV. Also, it shows Apple isn't afraid to eat some crow and do what's best for the holidays, and they get major kudos from me for that.
