The Coushatta Farmers’ Market reopened this past Saturday, and they're ready to bring local products and family fun back to SWLA.

David Sickey, Louisiana Tribal Chairman for the Coushatta Tribe, told KPLC the response to their first market since the pandemic was an encouraging sign for the community. There's something for the whole family, like locally made products, live entertainment, and a rock climbing wall.

Residents in attendance told KPLC it was great to finally get out of the house and mingle with other people. Vendors said it was nice to see their customers again and make a little money.

The Coushatta Farmers’ Market is located in Elton at the Koasati Plaza and is open the first Saturday of every month.
