The Coushatta Tribe will be holding an open car show Saturday, May 22 on the reservation located at 3625 Powell Road in Elton.

All makes, models, and years of cars are invited to participate in the show. Each vehicle entered will have a $10 entry fee and will receive a goody bag upon entry into the show. During the car show, visitors will be able to see a live herd of buffalo, enjoy fun jumps and bungee jumps for the kids, plus giveaways and silent auctions.

They will also feature live performances by the Koasati Dance and Drum group and live Zydeco music throughout the day. If that wasn't enough, they will also be serving chawahka, corn soup, boiled crawfish, and Indian Tacos. Personally, if you have never had an Indian Taco, you are totally missing out on the most amazing thing to ever cross your lips.

Registration begins at 9:00am, and the show officially starts at 10:00am. It is free to attend for all ages. For more information or questions about the car show or vendor info, you can contact Karvie@Coushatta.org
