Delta Downs is getting a bit wild and crazy this weekend, June 18, during their Quarter Horse races. They're calling it "Racing Stripes and Speed Humps". The races this weekend will not only feature amazing Quarter Horse racing, but also some exotic contestants.

On race day, you can watch Zebras with jockeys race down the track followed by real camels! I have never heard such a thing, but you better believe I have got to go see what this is all about! There will be two races of the exotics. The first race will start at 4:30 pm and the other race will be at 6:15 pm.

I got curious as to how fast a Zebra and Camel can run. A typical Plains Zebra can get up to 40mph while a Camel can match that speed easily for short periods of time. What exactly does a race like this look like? In one word, hilarious. I found a video from 2017 of a Zebra race and laughed the entire time watching it!

I absolutely love going to watch horse racing, and this just makes it even better! If you have never been to Delta Downs to check out the live races, you owe it to yourself to take some time this weekend to go check it out while this added bonus!
