There is nothing like the wonderful joy of a child. Whether you are feeding them, watching them sleep, or tickling them until they laugh. Well, one way for the children to get the best night's rest is when they are comfortable with their cribs, and Calcasieu Cut-Ups Quilt, SWLA Safe Sleep Task Force, and Macro Box are coming together to create Safe Sleep Sacks to be donated to the SWLA Safe Sleep Task Force. The event will be held on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m to 4 p.m with a goal to make 75 sacks that day. Their annual goal is to have 300 sacks to match the amount of Pack 'N' Plays that will be available for infants in need to provide a safe sleeping environment.

Those who would like to participate are asked to bring their sewing machines, scissors, and thread. Kits will also be provided and lunch as well for all of the volunteers who are willing to help. The event will be held at First Christian Church, 1401 Argin Street, Sulphur, La 70663. If you are good with your hands and love sewing as a hobby then obviously you are who we are looking for to come out and help with the event.

If you would like to volunteer your services, please call SWLA Safe Sleep Task Force Member at 337-884-0035.
