If you are someone who is still recovering from the disasters Lake Charles has endured over the past year, there is some good news and possibly a light at the end of the tunnel. There is a recovery center currently in operation through July 16 at Washington-Marion Magnet High School, located at 2802 Pineview Street in Lake Charles.

The recovery center is open Monday-Friday from 9:00am-4:00pm. If there are any questions you have about damages to your property, you can come out and meet with representatives from FEMA, SBA, and insurance companies who will be on hand for any questions or information you may need to help you get the ball rolling for you and your family.

Meeting with these individuals will help you find assistance with home repair/rebuild. You can connect with other agencies for immediate needs and get answers to construction and mitigation questions. If you are in need of assistance, call 2-1-1. Also, keep in mind the Recovery Service Center is free to attend and is in partnership among GOHSEP, the city of Lake Charles, and Calcasieu Parish.
