Rap Star NBA Youngboy and former President Trump are sharing a headline news story regarding a 2019 shooting that left several people injured and one man dead. The 19-year-old rapper was in South Florida to perform in Miami Gardens at the Rolling Loud hip-hop festival. He and his entourage had rooms at the Trump International Beach Resort. As Youngboy and his crew waited in the resort valet for a chauffeur to take them to the show, a black Cadillac Escalade drove up and opened fire.

The rappers security returned fire and in the shower of bullets four innocent bystanders were hit including Youngboy's girlfriend, who took a bullet in the shoulder. Other victims was a family of three from: a man, his girlfriend and her 5-year-old son were grazed with non-life threatening injuries. However, a 43-year Hertz rental car employee who just got off work was killed. A stray bullet traveled across the street and struck Mohamad Jradi, in the head as he sat in his car.

Shockingly enough, the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office determined the shooting was a clear case of self-defense! According to the Miami Herald, Florida's Stand Your Ground law, they couldn't press charges against the Youngboy or anyone in his entourage. That's a different story for the Jradi Estate. They are going after everybody, starting with the resort, citing that they were negligent for not protecting Jradi and “the premises was in a high crime area.”

They are suing Michael and Gil Dezer, whose development company runs the resort’s operations, Dezer Developments. Last but not least, victims estate is suing the rapper whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, his YoungBoy Never Broke Again brand and his security guard Osama Eugene Manuel.

To be clear, Trump does not own the resort. Other than his name being on the hotel, the one-term prez is not directly connected to the violent shooting. However, the messiness of this case adds another dirty stain to Trump's legacy.
