It's been a long time coming, but Harbor Freight Tools is finally back in business. Like nearly every business and resident in SWLA, the national tool chain's local store was hit hard in the wake of Hurricane Laura. Their original building, formally located on Prien Lake Rd. was heavily damaged and forced them to temporarily close the doors.

After two years of regrouping, Harbor Freight Tools has re-opened its doors in a brand new location. The new store is now located at 3004 Gerstner Memorial Drive in Lake Charles. Ready to serve the public, the new store will be open 7-days a week. The hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The new location also put approximately 30 residents to work in the process.

KPLC News reports the popular tool store is planning to celebrate the occasion with a big Grand Re-Opening set for Saturday, May 7, 2022. Make sure you set the date because there will be plenty of giveaways! While supplies last they'll be giving away a free puck light per customer, no purchase necessary on the big day. Trey Feiler, Harbor Freight’s Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Construction, told KPLC it is a proud moment and extremely meaningful to them to be back in business. Feiler said, “We were always determined to once again be a member of the proud, hard-working, and resilient Lake Charles and Calcasieu Parish community.”

As they prepare to host the Grand Re-Opening Store Manager, Angela Lee, told the news, “Now more than ever, people need to know they can buy quality tools at the lowest prices and that’s still exactly what they’ll find at Harbor Freight.”  Lee added, that she and her staff can't wait to see all of their loyal customers again. Harbor Freight Tools is putting the word out! They are ready for business and are fully stocked with air and power tools, automotive, outdoor power equipment, and much more!

Welcome back!

LOOK: 50 famous memes and what they mean

With the infinite number of memes scattered across the internet, it's hard to keep track. Just when you've grasped the meaning of one hilarious meme, it has already become old news and replaced by something equally as enigmatic. Online forums like Tumblr, Twitter, 4chan, and Reddit are responsible for a majority of meme infections, and with the constant posting and sharing, finding the source of an original meme is easier said than done. Stacker hunted through internet resources, pop culture publications, and databases like Know Your Meme to find 50 different memes and what they mean. While the almost self-replicating nature of these vague symbols can get exhausting, memes in their essence can also bring people closer together—as long as they have internet access.
