The Internal Revenue Service is sending out a warning to college students across the country. There's an ongoing IRS impersonation scam, and it's targeting higher learning institutions and students who use .edu email addresses. Be on the lookout, as these scam emails reportedly display the IRS logo to make them seem legit.

In addition, the scam artists are using rather convincing clickbait in the subject line, such as Tax Refund Repayment or Recalculation of Your Tax Refund Payment. So beware and do not click on any links, especially those asking you to submit something to claim your refund. It's a bogus phishing email and could not only harm your device but also expose your personal information.

Delete these emails if you receive one and contact the IRS to report it. For more info about this scam, click here.
