Joe Burrow Was Injured Yesterday, Here’s What We Know…

Football Season is just a few days away from getting the 2023 season underway with Preseason Football on the horizon. Yesterday, the Cincinnati Bengals got some tough news on Franchise Quarterback Joe Burrow after Burrow went down in pain at Thursday's practice.

Of course, all Louisiana folks know the name Joe Burrow after the miraculous 2019 National Championship season where Burrow also took home multiple honors including the Heisman Trophy. Burrow posted MAJOR numbers throughout the season and immediately became a Louisiana Legend!

Yesterday, Joe Burrow was carted off of the field at the Paycor Stadium facility, and head coach Zac Taylor told reporters the team would know more soon regarding the severity of the injury.

Based on a video provided on Twitter (SEE BELOW), During an 11-on-11 drill, Burrow pumped left and scrambled right when he came up hobbled, clearly favoring his right leg as he skipped on his left leg before going down on the practice field.

It's unclear if Burrow suffered any sort of tweak on the first day of practice that led to him wearing the sleeve and ultimately if it had anything to do with the injury. Per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Joe Burrow suffered what is believed to be a calf strain during practice Thursday practice and will undergo further testing.

While there's no official word on the severity of the injury just yet, wide receiver and good friend Ja'Marr Chase told reporters why he thinks Burrow will be OK. "We always give each other that nod," Chase said after practice, via Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic. "He gave me a nod [to say] he's all right. He's a strong dude."

We all hope Joe will be okay and be able to compete when the season kicks off in just a few short weeks!
