LifeShare Blood Center Announces 1st Buddy Russ Blood Drive

On Thursday, LifeShare Blood Center and our friend Johnny Jimenez announced that they have been working on a special project and have officially found a date to host the 1st ever Buddy Russ Blood Drive in Lake Charles.

During Buddy Russ's fight, he depended on blood donors around the state and the world to give blood.

You may ask, why should I give blood? Well, that answer is simple, to help save a life. About 328 million people currently live in the U.S. Each year, approximately 6.8 million people in the U.S. donate blood. Annually, this adds up to about 13.6 million units of whole blood collected for donation in the U.S. The Red Cross provides about 40% of our nation’s blood and blood cell components to donors. The 1st Buddy Russ Blood Drive will take place on November 18th, 2023 at Mr. Bill's Seafood Express in Lake Charles from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. If you would like to participate, you can sign up today to give blood by CLICKING HERE
