If you are looking something fun to do with the entire family, we think we found just the things for you and your family. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has announced that Movies Under The Stars is back for another four week run and will be at four different locations.

It gets under way this Friday ngiht, March 31st and will run for four week until Friday, April 28th. Each Movies Under The Stars will take place on a Friday evening with the execption of Friday, April 7th. That Friday will be skipped because that is a holiday, Good Friday.

With that being said, the first Movies Under The Stars is this Friday night, March 31st and will feature the movie The Dog Who Saved EasterIt will take place at the Prien lake park located at 3700 West Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance to take photos with the kids and there will be an Easter egg hunt at 6:15 p.m. so make sure to get there early!

Then there are three more Friday's for Movies Under The Stars and here is the schedule, locations of each event, and what movies will be playing.

  • Friday, April 14 – Inside Out --The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, in partnership with the Banners Series, will host this movie at McNeese State University’s Bulber Auditorium, 4205 Ryan St., Lake Charles.
  • Friday, April 21 – The Lorax -- This movie, which is being featured in honor of Earth Day (April 22), will be shown at Mallard Junction Park, 599 August Drive, Lake Charles.
  • Friday, April 28 -- Encanto -- This movie will be shown at River Bluff Park, located 543 Theriot Road, Moss Bluff.
