Dave Portnoy From Barstool Sports Reviews A Pizza From Lake Charles, Louisiana
El Presidente, Dave Portnoy, from Barstool Sports was in Lake Charles visiting his sportsbook and reviewed a pie from a local pizza parlor.
Portnoy, aka Davey Pageviews, has created quite a following online with not only his sports company but reviewing pizzas and giving them a rating. So much so, that he now has the One Bite mobile app, which users can review pizzas, find pizza in their location, and even order pizza from the app.
Back in April of 2023, Dave was visiting his Barstool Sportsbook inside L'auberge Casino in Lake Charles. Hearing that he was going to be in The Chuck, a local pizza chain owner contacted Dave and asked him to review their pizza.
That pizza joint was Crust Pizza. Crust has 22 locations with three of those being in SWLA:
If you've never seen a pizza review from Dave, here's how it works. He only gets cheese pizza, no extra toppings. He rates the pizza on an Olympic decimal style scale from 0.0 to 10.0.
Dave rated the pizza at Crust Pizza's Lake Charles location at a 6.3. If you've watched any One Bite Pizza videos, you know that 6.3 is a very solid score. A great pizza to Dave is in the 8-point range and up, so a 6.3 means he thought it was way better than average.
In fact, Dave said one time that he reserves the 9.0 score and up for the best pizzas he has ever tasted. So Crust Pizza Lake Charles should be very proud of their score.
