The Better Business Bureau serving Southwest Louisiana is hosting a Shred Fest on Saturday, April 20, at S.J. Welsh Middle School (1500 W. McNeese St.) from 9 am to noon. This is a free event and Southwest Louisiana residents are invited to drop off up to 3 boxes of old papers and dated documents that need to be safely disregarded.

You don't even have to get out of your vehicle, it's a drive-thru-friendly event. It's also a great way to dispose of old documents that contain your personal information properly and securely. There are a few things to keep in mind, not all forms of documents or paperwork can be shredded.

The following items or conditions of paperwork will not be accepted:

  • Up to 3 boxes of documents are the limit
  • Paper must be dry and free of mold and mildew.
  • No documents on spiral-bound will not be accepted.

Volunteers will remove your paper or boxes of paper from your vehicle.
