Kmart Is Closing In Lake Charles

According to local management we will soon be without Kmart in Lake Charles. While this was surely convenient for students at the Mcneese, it doesn't seem like they were able to pull in enough revenue to keep their doors open.

This is going to be sad for the employees as I have several people who I have known over the years that were closely associated with the store and had ties to the community as well.

The big question is what will take its place as that's a pretty big location and a void will surely be left. There is no official word on the closing date, but with news that their sister company Sears is closing to. I think its safe to say the writing was on the wall.
