Lacassine Man Makes Feathered Friend While Working
I am convinced that non-normal animals in the wild just hate me. I try to be friends with them, and they run like my exes. Maybe I AM the problem? Nah, they just don't know a good thing when they see it. I have had a random cat run up to me and jump on my lap during the pandemic, I felt like a Disney Princess when that happened. Apparently, Davey Monceaux is also a Disney Princess after seeing this story of how he made a feathered friend while working.
Davey owns and operates Crazy Cajun Services. They pressure wash buildings, homes, concrete, and anything else you might need to be cleaned. Therefore, he's outside most of the time in "nature". That's just a fancy way of saying that they work outside in the miserable weather of heat and rain!
Recently while doing a job, Davey saw a Pigeon land on top of his truck. He decided to go in for a closer look and realized the bird didn't move. So he got a little closer. Still, wasn't scared. The pretty little thing even let him pick it up and hold it for a selfie! Why can't I ever get to hold a dang Pigeon? He returned it to the roof of his truck and the bird sat around and watched him work a bit more before heading on down the road.
More than likely it could have been a pet messenger or racing pigeon, there are a few hobbyists around the Lake Area still. Either way, it's still a cool story that I just had to share.
