LSU football's punter, Zach Von Rosenberg, announced via Twitter that he will forgo his sixth year of eligibility at LSU and enter the NFL draft in April of this year.

Zach Von Rosenberg is 30 years old and is currently the oldest player on a college football roster. I mean, if he has had six years of eligibility, he is probably the longest college student ever.

All kidding aside, Zach Von Rosenberg is one heck of a punter. He led the SEC in punts downed inside the 20-yard line with 27 while also leading the SEC in punts of 50-plus yards with 18, all while being named a second team all SEC punter.

He took to Twitter yesterday to make the announcement.

The bad thing is that all those punts mean the LSU football team weren't scoring much. That is never good news. Case in point, this season, Von Rosenberg averaged 43.9 yards on 59 punts, which is not good for the LSU offense and ultimately caused them to finish 5-5 on the year.

The NFL draft is coming up on April 29 through May 1 in Cleveland.
