The latest "Teen Connection" session will focus on "Sports Scholarships" and what collegiate athlete hopefuls can do to improve their chances of recruitment, said a City of Lake Charles media release. This weeks session is from 5 pm - 6 pm, at the Cpl Donald Ray Stevens Center, formerly Goosport Recreation, located at 1619 Cessford St.

Teen Connection seminars are for local high school students ages 13-18, and free of charge. A second session is also scheduled for Thursday, January 17, 2019.

"Teen Connection” is designed to help teenagers learn job skills, college prep, social media, interview skills, and ACT prep among others. The classes are instructed by educators, government officials, and business leaders in the community.
