Sending A Great Guy Off To Retirement David Morgan

When I first moved here 25 years ago there was a gentlemen who was charismatic and a hoot to be around at the same time. His name is David Morgan and he was the afternoon talent on one of my other brands KHLA 92.9 The Lake. We both did the same shift in the afternoon and would often cross each other in the hall way as we handled our responsibilities.

Well today is going to be his last day working with us as after 25 years of quality radio in Lake Charles he is hanging up the headphones and retiring. We had a nice little celebration today and had a great video put together featuring current and former employees who have all been touched by David in one way or another.

He is truly going to be missed, but if nothing else I will miss his sarcastic humor and old stories talking about the fun days of radio where we actually played records and eventually cd's before the automation came along. I have to thank him for advice which wasn't necessarily sought out. But just in conversations and talking about things and how he dealt with them. While I am on the air today I will also be listening to Dave as he says goodbye for the last time on terrestrial radio and to us here at Townsqaure Media. Thanks David for all of the great years and we'll have to catch up for lunch soon.
