Sowela To Host Fall Career Fair In Lake Charles

SOWELA Technical Community College is getting ready to host their annual career fair in October. The 2022 Fall Career Fair will take place at the Sycamore Student Center at the Main Campus in Lake Charles. The event is on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Save the date!

If you are a business looking for workers that are well-trained or a job seeker looking for professional employment, you will be at the right place. According to SOWELA  Director of Recruitment and Career Services, Joseph W. Lavergne,

“The Career Fair is a great opportunity for our current students and alumni to learn more about career fields, job prospects, and network with potential employers. We invite any SOWELA alumni and students seeking employment to attend.”

Current and former SOWELA students are not only invited to attend, but local business are urged to participate. Employers who would like to participate and acquire a booth or get more details about the Career Fair may call (337) 421-6540. Participating organizations will be on hand, many are even hiring on the spot. Employer's interested in getting a booth at the fair, still have time to register. The deadline to enter is Friday Sept. 30, there is still space available. The deadline for employers to register for the event is Friday, September 30.
