Today in Tha Wire, I guess anything is possible in the world of politics nowadays. Maybe that's why former actress/former FOX News analyst/former African American Stacey Dash is running for Congress. She's been relatively quiet, since getting the boot from FOX in 2016. The 51-year old was hired as a cultural anylist for the network, where she pretty much dissed her own culture, the entire time she was on the air. She made high marks with FOX viewers as she made ignorant statements like, we should get rid of channels like BET, the BET Awards, and do away with Black History Month.

She had a habit of ranting about President Barack Obama, until one day she had a slip of the tongue. She cursed while claiming POTUS 44 didn't care about terrorism. She was suspended, without pay, and officially let go when FOX refused to renew her contract. Unfortunately it appears that her silence has come to an end. TheBoomBox reports Dash announced Monday (February 26, 2018,) she was going to run for a seat to become a U.S Representative for California. WTF??

EW confirmed the ridiculous news, reporting that Dash filed papers to make a run for the office with the Federal Election Commission, listing the name of her campaign, Dash to DC. Yeah okay. Well ironically, she wants to rep for California’s 44th district. The only problem is....that area is almost entirely African American, or home to minorities of color like - Long Beach, Watts, Compton, San Pedro, Wilmington and more. I gotta feeling her previous statements didn't sit well with the folks of those communities. Further she clearly knows nothing about their culture, much less cares about their needs. So the fact that she wants to be their representative is a joke.

Finally, I would like to offer my deepest and heartfelt condolences to Camille and Bill Cosby. Tragically they lost their daughter Ensa last week. According to Hiphollywood a family spokesperson confirmed she was suffering with Renal Disease, and passed away in a Massachusetts hospital waiting for a kidney transplant. She was only 44. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them in their time of bereavement.
