October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the theme this year is "Together We RISE." In honor of breast cancer awareness, Southwest Louisiana Center for Health Services is making sure local communities in the surrounding area understand that there are a wide variety of services and resources available to breast cancer patients and survivors.

They will be hosting Breast Cancer Awareness Forums across the parish to make sure area patients are aware of the helpful services that they are eligible to receive. available to them.

These informative forums are free to all breast cancer patients, breast cancer survivors, and the entire community. The next events will take place at the following locations:

Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022 - Allen P. August Multipurpose Annex, 2000 Moeling Street in Lake Charles - from 10 a.m. - noon.

Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022 - in Oberlin - event location TBA - from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

If you, a family member, or a friend would like to attend no registration is needed. All are welcome because everyone can benefit from the information. Various healthcare providers, doctors, and other guests will be on hand at each event to fill you in on the newest resources and services available.
