This just came across the wire as Essence Festival will be returning this year. Not only will it be virtual, but they are back in New Orleans for all to attend this year's festivities. Coca-Cola presents The Black Joy For Me- Essence Festival Of Culture, June 30- July 3rd. When I tell you that I am excited about this lineup of talent that will be gracing the stage this year. There is going to be an array of talent that will include R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz, and comedy. The weekend kicks off with Kevin Hart with his 'Reality Check' tour on June 30 inside the Smoothie King Center.

Then the music and even more fun continue with Nicki Minaj, Janet Jackson, New Edition, The Isley Brothers, Jazmine Sullivan, Summer Walker, The Roots, D- Nice, and friends and more. This is going to be a great show and the first time since the pandemic that the Essence Festival Of Culture will be in front of a live audience the only way it should be in New Orleans. I haven't had a chance to go to Essence in a few years, but not having it for the past couple of years has been like missing a family member that you loved to see come around.

Now of course you can get your tickets in advance as well at Essence Festival.com. Another great thing about the Essence Music Festival is the panels and breakout sessions that not only talk about music and the culture but health and wellness as well inside the Caesars Superdome with more talent to be announced soon. Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination is required to participate in Essence Festival Of Culture events so make sure you are prepared accordingly for the weekend.
