The political body of Hip Hop known as the Hip Hop Caucus is re-launching the award-winning Respect My Vote! campaign Ye, buddy. It’s time to turn up and use your power this November. Just in time to get into some good trouble, Respect My Vote! has unleashed a nationwide effort to get young people inspired to get registered and vote. The 2020 Presidential election is less than 100 days away and Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr., the President and Founder of Hip Hop Caucus says, “There has never been a more critical time than now for young Black, Indigenous and People of Color to vote.”

This iconic non-partisan campaign is known for ramping up the masses through voter awareness and education. Targeting age groups 18-40, the Respect My Vote! initiative is all about mobilizing and empowering voters of color. There’s a lot on the line this election year, which is why the re-launch of their 2020 campaign couldn’t have come at a better time, helping to ensure every community can exercise the right to vote and everyone understands the importance of participating in America’s democratic process. With the COVID-19 crisis being a factor this election, Respect My Vote! wants to make sure every voter knows how to request an absentee ballot, how to fill it out, and get it back ahead of the deadline.

Artists like T.I., 2 Chainz, Charlamagne Tha God, Keke Palmer, Angela Simmons, Amber Rose, and many others partnered with Respect My Vote! to help educate, motivate and encourage young voters. Understanding the political process along with voter laws is key. The Hip Hop Caucus is paying extra attention in helping to register ex-offenders to vote through its Returning Citizens' Voting Rights Project. This is a historic election year and all hands need to be on dec,  whether it be in person at the polls or voting by mail. See the Respect My Vote! Fact Sheet for more details about the organization.

Let's go! Flex your power, use your voice and let's bring the biggest turnout to the polls in history this 2020 election.
