Walmart and The Salvation Army are kicking off something huge for kids in need. They will be supplying school supplies to local children in need with the Stuff the Bus campaign to help kids get off to a good start. The Salvation Army is going to be at various Walmart locations in the city.

It is going on today through this Sunday, August 9 at these Walmart locations: 3415 Gerstner Memorial Blvd, 2500 N. Martin Luther King Hwy, 3451 Nelson Road, 2011 Ryan Street, and 260 Sam Houston Jones Parkway.

We all are aware this school year is not going to be like the rest, as some kids will be in a classroom setting and others will be at home. If you are going to go shopping for groceries or home accessories and you happen to be going to Walmart, make sure to pick up a little something extra including tablets, pencils, pens, and other necessities. There will be collection bins in front of each of the Walmart locations.

If you would like to continue to support The Salvation Army efforts, all you have to do is go to salvationarmyalm.org/give. You can also call Lieutenant Thomas Marion at 337-721-8068
