Washington-Marion Magnet High School is set to host the annual “Battle of the Bands!” It goes down at WM Robert Lavergne Stadium, located at 2802 Pineview Street in Lake Charles on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022. Showtime will jump off at 5 pm.

The 2022 marching band competition is going to be fierce. Outside of a performance from the Marching Jukebox, this year's exciting event will feature two additional high school marching bands from Lake Charles to include Lake Charles Charter Prep High School and LaGrange High School. Other marching bands participating in this weekend's competition are as follows:

Beaumont United High School
Bolton High School
Cecilia High School
Ferriday High School
Northside High School
Northwest High School
West Gate High School

Gates will open at 4 p.m. and the first marching band performance will get underway at 5 p.m. Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the front office at Washington-Marion both Thursday and Friday until 1 pm each day. Tickets will also be available for purchase the day of the competition at the gate. Don't miss this exciting event!
