Today in Tha Wire French Montana has been real big in the humanitarian/philanthropy departments these days. He recently spearheaded a way to raise money to help the women and children in Uganda get better maternal health care in Kampala, Uganda. He joined forces with Global Citizen and Mama Hope to build a health center equipped to supply the lifesaving care they need. Advocating for the cause, the rap mogul shot a documentary in various places in Uganda called, Unforgettable: My Project, Their Reality.

During the same time he filmed the music video to his hit "Unforgettable," all of which to raise awareness, and shed light on the devastating loss of life caused by the lack of medical resources in the country. In addition he highlighted the unbelievable talents of the African street dancers, Triplets Ghetto Kids. This gave birth to the #unforgettabledancechallenge initiative, and a crazy dance version of the video. See original and dance music videos below:

French donated $100,000 of his own money, and inspired a few of his famous friends to do the same. Stars like The Weednd, Drake, Diddy, Travis Scott, Swizz Beatz, DJ Khaled, and Juelz Santana all gave major dough to the project. As a result French raised more than $400,000, and the center was built.

Now he putting his focus on education and teamed-up with MTV and Get Schooled to insure everyone, including DREAMers has a pathway to college. Allhiphop reports French helped launched the We Are The Dream campaign to help DACA recipients apply for college. The program goes a step further to assist undocumented young people, by providing info on how to apply for grants, find universities and get resources to obtain a higher education.

Why is the rap superstar looking out for DREAMers? He used to be one. French was only 13-yrs old when he immigrated here to the U.S. from Morocco, Casablanca with his family. So he knows first hand, that the struggle is real. Montana felt it's only right to reach back, and help others get the same opportunities he had. Check out his PSA for the program below.

That's what's up! Way to go French. Once again, the rappers motivation is catching on. Impressed with the French's campaign, and also identifying with the difficulties many immigrants face. DJ Khaled came on board to further assist the groundbreaking project. The music mogul was actually born in New Orleans, but being of Palestinian descent, his parents immigrated here to the U.S. in search of the American dream. The super producer also feels a responsibility to help others get the same opportunities he's had, so they can be THE BEST. Peep Khaled's PSA below.

Earlier this year, DJ Khaled became the national spokesperson for the Get Schooled's #RaceToSubmit college education challenge. To get assistance or apply for the We Are The Dream Grant Program, fill out the application HERE. Individuals, schools and community-based organizations can apply to receive up to $1,000 to assist the educational endeavors of DREAMers.

"Havana" hitmaker, and Cuban-American singer Camilla Cabello is also helping DREAMers in a big way, and gave an amazing speech at the 60th annual Grammy Awards in January.

Good work everyone! We must all remember, America is not America without the billions of immigrants who risked everything to come here. Outside of the Indians, we are all immigrants and that is what truly makes America great.
