AllHiphop reports Houston rap pioneer, Bushwick Bill of The Geto Boys is battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The 52-yr old rap legend said, "I figured keeping it to myself is not really helping nobody."  The rapper whose real name is , Richard Shaw, gave up the details in a recent interview with TMZ.

Bushwick revealed he was diagnosed in February but shocked to learn he had cancer. According to TMZ doctors were treating the rap star for a mass in his pancreas but reportedly told him it was benign. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, and now H-Town legend is in the fight for his life undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatments. Bushwick is busy living these days and doing what he can to ensure the legacy that one day he'll leave to his children, will also serve as residual income as well. Hopefully soon we'll have release dates and tittles to his new works, but in the meantime the Geto rap star's letting everyone know three albums, a book and documentary are in on the way.

Finally tonight it's all about the 2019 Billboard Music Awards hosted by Former American Idle and currant judge on The Voice, Kelly Clarkson. Among the performers Khalid, Ciara, Ariana Grande and the one and only Mariah Carey will rock the house. Mariah by the way will receive the Billboard Icon Award.

As far as artists up for awards there's no surprise that Cardi B leads all artist with 21 nominations, barely missing the record of 22 by Drake. Speaking of Drizzy, he and Post Malone have 17 each, followed by Travis Scott with 12 nods, and the late XXXTentacion whose up for 10.
