The Queen of Hip Hop Soul is getting her own biopic! The iconic songstress Mary J. Blige and Bad Boy mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs will team up to executive produce an upcoming doc of her life story. According to AllHipHop Mary's film is going to premiere on exclusively on Amazon Prime Video streaming service.

Academy Award-winning producer, Vanessa Roth, will be behind the camera and plans to capture the same struggles that Mary famously sang about her entire career. She's always been open about her life's experience. Now she's bringing her entire story to the big screen. See the poverty, drugs addiction, physical abuse and struggle that carved her musical Amazon couldn't be happier to be the outlet to share this epic moment with her fans. Matt Newman, Co-Head of Amazon Studios said of the film,

"We all know Mary J. Blige as the two-time Oscar nominee, Grammy Award-winning, multi-hyphenate who has sold over 80 million records," He continued. "But through this documentary, audiences will see a raw and honest side of Mary J. Blige opening up about her personal journey of redemption and healing."

Mary J.'s sophomore album, My Life, turned 25-years old November 29 this year. Released in 1994 the LP featured timeless hits such as the title track, "I'm Going Down," "Be Happy," "Mary Jane," and "You Bring Me Joy." Even better it's being reported that the music stars My Life 25-year Anniversary Tour will be featured in the documentary.

Her acting skillz, singer/songwriting talent earned her two Oscar nominations for Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Song in the Netflix movie, Mudbound. The music legend is a 4-time American Music Award winner, 9-time Grammy Award winner and 12-time Billboard Music Award winner and counting.
