A day after the SEC released their schedules for the 2020 football season, they've also now issued a statement on game day rules for fans attending those games.

Their hope is to make this a safe and seamless transition for both teams and fans. Check out the LSU Tigers 2020 football schedule here.

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey told WWL the different schools in the conference can add more mandates for their particular game day experience if they see it fit. Also, Interim LSU President Tom Galligan is urging Tiger fans who don't have tickets to the game to not come to the campus to tailgate. That's going to be a hard pill to swallow for most of the Bayou Bengals faithful. If you've been to a game, there have to be as many people tailgating and watching the game at their campers as there are inside the stadium.

Here are some highlights of the SEC game day guidelines:

  • Masks must cover the face and the nose, and be worn by all fans who enter, exit, and move about the stadium. Stadium workers and athletic staff will be required to wear masks at all times.
  • Each university will be responsible for deciding whether tailgating will be allowed on school property. If so, it must be in accordance with state and local rules.
  • All sales and concession areas must have plexiglass barriers and social distancing must be in effect for those standing in line.
  • Self-serve condiment carts and drink machines are prohibited. All condiments will be served in individual containers.
  • LSU has already announced all tickets will be digitally scanned.
